So, here we are...I would like to personally welcome you to the starting point of your life-long "workout" that will ultimately impact and change your emotional and physical health for the better!  I personally have been hugely impacted by health and fitness and have gained a newfound compassion and strong desire to help others...it is my pay-it-forward mission if you will.
 
You see, by taking the challenge yourself and making improvements in your own life you are also paying-it-forward and becoming a positive role model for your loved ones, your friends, co-workers, even strangers.  Sure there is much deserved JOY in achieving your own personal health goals, but the true satisfaction is knowing that your success has created a yearning for others to achieve the same success...possibly even "life-saving" siccess. So make today the day of Change, of Commitment, and of taking Control of the rest of your life!
 
On my website you will find helpful information that will help and guide you throughout your health and fitness journey (they do go hand in hand!).  I have highlighted several option from Beachbody(R), because I believe they are leading the way in health and fitness revolution, and I mayself have experienced personal success with the products, as have several other millions of people!

To me, the term working out does not simply refer to exercise.. to me, it means first looking at myself and the goals I want to transform myself into a healthy person  You owe it to yourself, to your loved ones, and to people who depend on you to create a more healther, happier you!  Make your transformation meaningful in so many ways.
 
The Secret to the Success
 
So I'm guess you're thinking "Ok, now what?  How am I supposed to do this?  Where do I start?  When making a committment to change from this day forward remember, success doesn't come over night or through a fad diet or pill.  It take good, old fashioned hard work and the desire to change. 
 
1. Start with small changes and modifications in your normal, everyday life.
 
There no need to go extreme, but make small changes like eating fruit instead of a high calories dessert.  I added riding my stationary bike just five miles a day or by walking for 15 minutes.  Sooner or later these small modification will evolve and increase in intensity and will create a more smooth transition into more structured activities. (Refer to the Newletters and Health Info section of my website for more helpful information!)
 
2.  Creat short term goals that are REALISTIC!
 
When starting out on your fitness journey, set positive goals ("I will..." rather than "I won't...) and no matter how tempting it may be, avoid setting weight loss goals in terms of pounds to lose, espeically if you are writing weekly or even monthly goals.  Instead, set a goal I will ride my stationary bike five miles today or I will do 25 miles this week.   Once you achieve these such goals, the weight loss that may accompany the increased frequency and intensity will become an added bonus.  By accomplishing your short term goals you are far more likely to continue to have successes leading up to your ultimate health and fitness goals.  Hint:  Write out your set goals, you will be more likely to achieve them!
 
3.  Maintain a POSITIVE support system.
 
This perhaps is one of the most critical component to your success.  You either stand together or you stand alone, and turst me, it's far easier having people on your side who encourage you and contribute to attaining your health and fitness goals.  I surround myself with buddies and email back and forth and blog daily about my journey.   Find a workout buddy, a confidant, someone who has been through what you are about to embark on or is in your same shoes.  Trust me, you are far less likely to fail if other won't let you! 
Accountability is the key!

I am a retire teacher. I was the special education teacher of the year in 2007 for the state of Indiana. I have been a motivation speaker and know how to get people motivated. I am a professional storyteller. I want to lose fat and get healthy in my older years. I want to live a long and exciting life. My daughter is getting married in 2 years and I don't want to look fat. I want to be slim and healthy. I have three kids and am divorce. So it is up to me to change my life to a better life. My desire is P90X will put me in the right direction. I have been fit when I was 30 being a wrestling coach, and Karate Instructor with a second degree black belt. But an auto accident which hurt my back and caused back surgery left me in pain. I endure not eating right and exercising was not in the future. One day at the doctor my hip pop and the pain was gone but I still wasn't exercising and eating right.
 
P90X is plan to get back in shape not only for myself but to have a healthy life.
 
One of the other reason to get fit is I hate the way I look when I am performing as a storyteller plus I would be out of breath by the end of the show. I am excited because by the end of June 2010 I will have my first CD called The Circle of the stories, poetry, and songs.
 
My future goal is to lose 114 pounds.
