Program Description
Storyteller
A storytelling visit right now can be schedule for summer months or for family evening festivals in the local area.  Student will enjoy the magic that stories have to offer to them.  As they listen they develop listening skills and story writing skills in order to become storyteller themselves.  High volume audience participation---see comment page from Ferdinand News.
 
Children should be grouped by grade levels.  Suggested Split  (Pre-K) (1-2-3) (4-5).  Splits arranged according to school classes and number.
 
Library Visit
Library storytelling visits are available for 45 minutes time slots with two bookings with the same library or another one in the area.  These are great programs that can target children and families alike.Specialty programs can be designed to fit your needs.  Always filled with stories, songs, puppets, and poetry.
 
School Visit
School visit are available with two 45 minutes storytelling sessions in the morning.  The afternoon could be used for mini workshops on how to do storytelling with music and song, and poetry writing.   An evening for a family festival for an extra cost can be arrange with a 30 minutes storytime and mini workshop on how families can use storytelling in the home.  Learn the secrets of personal family tales that can create interest in your family history.   School family nights introduce the power of storytelling within a family.
Spooktacular Tales Ghost Stories and the Halloween Hullabaloo--the spooky, funny, and scary world of things that goes bump in the night come alive when Gary tells his stories.  Two programs one not-so-scary stories and the other for the mature audience with scary stories galore.  Urban legends can also be told to scare you about the event of the day. October is his most requested time with Halloween stories.

Multi-cultural stories from around the world will entertain, having the children clapping, and singing to the song and stories.  Gary can tell world wide stories to fit any curriculum from his over 500 world  folklore library books that he owns.  He can design the program to fit your needs to build up listening comprehension and storytelling skills as well as learn writing skills to become a storyteller writer. A spark of enthusiasm will ignite the students to write and tell their own stories.
Workshop*Storyteller/Poet
 
Storytelling with Music, Songs, and Sound Effects--a creative flow of ideas to animate any story you might tell to your children.  Gives you the learning tools and the confidence to be that storyteller that is inside you.
 
Ghost stories come alive --how to find, and tell a good ghost story, and even write one of your own.
 
Poetry--words of the song.  Help you develop the poetic voice and even the song that is within you come alive.
 
Bible Times Stories from The Bible--How to put on a three day program for summer vacation school.  The nuts and bolts of songs, crafts, and stories with prayer in a family tribe like setting according to the Bible.
 
The workshops are designed to help the teachers parents, librarians, or anyone interested in the arts.   The workshops can also be done for students in mini workshops to fit your needs and academic test scores.
 
Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking Workshop---Gary is known as Mr. Enthusiasm and can help a group of people or individual overcome the fears of getting up in front of people.  He been doing this for over thirty years in speech classes and schools and a national motivation course. 
 
Teacher's Workshop or seminar--has brought Gary's talent to empower people to be better than they ever thought they could be.  To find that spirit of enthusiasm and positive attitude that we need to stay ahead in life.  Spend time with him in a workshop and let him meet your needs.  This can be either in a school environment or business.
 
 
How to become a Hero as a Teacher workshop empower you with the spirit of being the best that you are in life and on the job.  Gary talks to students and finds the heroes in the school taking their letters.   He spend time encorporating them into his motivational inservice program for teachers in the afternoon or evening.  The workshop is a dynamic, enthusiastic, and waking experiences for all those involved. You will come away alive and refresh for the job we do each and every day.    2007 State of Indiana  Learning Disabilities Teacher of the Year for the Learning Disabilities Association.  He received the award on November 9, 2007.
 
Family Fun Night with Gary Wittmann telling stories and songs and funny poems.  School family nights introduce the power of storytelling within a family.  These evening performance can enhance your reading programs and literacy skills which Gary is a strong advocate when he talks to groups.

NECESSITIES
A microphone system with a lavaliere microphone, a table for props, some bottle water, and children arranged so they can see the performance.

Schools use a variety of sources to sponsor my programs, including Title I, district, PTA and GATE funds, and grants from local business groups.
 
EXPENSES
mileage or air fare, reimbursement for auto rental, gas, parking, lodging, meals and tipping. Lodging is preferred in a hotel or motel.
