Space Math

My math lesson was being taught in the deep outer space.
My instructor teaching is really hip, far from base.

Across the Universe, we were traveling at light-speed.
Our ship came to a stop. The teacher said, “Now we’ll proceed.”

Today our math is here, put on your ultrasonic gear.
Out the window were stars, Black Holes, and a glowing orange sphere.

Now sequential math is what we will do for today.
I thought I wanted to be shot by space men gamma ray.

Now look out the side window and turn your head to the right.
Across space it sped, I watch the Ultraviolet light.

My instructor forms a math problem and grins with glee.
We heard something flying by and howling like a banshee.

Now if one asteroid is coming at you at stage one.
I rolled my eyes down, looked at my feet and wished I were done.

At stage two, there is seven and at stage three---nineteen more.
How many asteroids are coming at you?  Sixty-four.

What stage is this to the student stated the Math Teacher?
Sixty-four asteroids is not an attractive feature.

Especially when coming at your space ship metal door.
If the asteroids hits, I will not have math anymore.

The teacher grabbed the control, turned the ship, and off we zoom.
We headed back to Control base and back to the classroom.
